About The Project:
The TransFormWork project focused on the implementing the European Social Partners’ Framework Agreement on Digitalisation (June 2020) in seven EU Member States (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Ireland Malta, Romania and Sweden). Its objective was to explore the impact of digitalisation on social dialogue at the national level and to identify good practices in the partner countries related to initiatives, collective agreements and workplace policies addressing the digital transformation of the world of work.
The project also aimed to raise awareness of how, through the implementation of appropriate strategies, digital transformation can bring tangible benefits and added value for both employers and workers by creating new labour market opportunities, introducing innovating ways of organising work, and improving overall working conditions.
Objectives/actions:
The project sought to support the effective implementation of the Framework Agreement by:
- anticipating and managing change resulting from digital transformation;
- fostering the delivery of the skills needed by workers and enterprises to succeed;
- promoting new approaches at the national level to adapt labour markets;
- strengthening education and training systems;
- enhancing the role of social partners to ensure that framework conditions enable both employers and workers to benefit from the opportunities of digitalisation; and
- assisting them in identifying and implementing appropriate solutions to address the associated challenges.
